Ratings for the Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 10th overall for the night ending their #2 run after two weeks. The Presidential Address dominated the night.
Dynamite drew 889,000 viewers down from last week’s 1,104,000 viewers. They finished 2nd overall last week. Dynamite was taped this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The show featured Preston Vance ’10’ vs Darby Allin for the TNT title.
On Tuesday NXT drew 744,000 viewers down from last week’s 841,000 viewers. It finished 11th overall, last week they finished 27th. The show featured Legado del Fantasma defeated Kushida & MSK in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.
Based on the ratings, cable news had 10 of the top 15 shows. CNN had 4 including the top 3 spots, MSNBC had spots #4 and #5. FOX News had 4 other spots. It was President Joe Biden’s first address in front of Congress.
MTV’s Challenge Double Agent came in at #7. Basketball on ESPN came in at #8, then AEW in at #10.
With Blood & Guts next week, we expect another Top 2 finish. Could AEW finish #1?
