AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 8th, September 2, 2020

Ratings for the Wednesday, September 2, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite were released Thursday. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 8th overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 928,000 viewers way up from last week’s 813,000 viewers. This is their AEW’s highest rating since March 18th. They finished 11th last week on a Thursday night. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. This was the go-home show for the AEW All Out PPV on Saturday.

On Tuesday, with no competition from AEW, NXT drew 849,000 viewers up from last week’s 824,000 viewers. It finished 10th overall, way up from 24th a week earlier. A sign that NXT might be better off a Tuesday nights rather than go head to head with AEW Dynamite on Wednesday’s.

Based on the ratings, the NBA playoffs dominated the top two spots. Only four news shows finshed in the top 15. Sports and shows on BET made up most of the top 15.
