Ratings for the Wednesday, January 20th, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 33rd overall for the night. For the third week in a row they were down, but this time it was Presidents Biden’s Inauguration. Things should finally get back to normal next week.
Dynamite drew 854,000 viewers up from last week’s 762,000 viewers. They finished 31th overall last week. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The show featured the Inner Circle Tag Team Challenge.
NXT drew 659,000 viewers up from last week’s 551,000 viewers. It finished 67th overall, last week they finished 70th. The show featured Timothy Thatcher vs. Tommaso Ciampa in the Fight Pit.
The total combined wrestling audience for both shows was up to 1.513 million viewers. It was at 1.313 million total viewers last week.
Based on the ratings, CNN took 14 of the top 15 spots with MSNBC taking #14. CNN and MSNBC took all the top 25 spots of The Presidental Inauguration coverage. Fox News’s top show came in at #29.
The top-rated non-news show was MTV’s Challenge Double Agent came in at #26. ESPN’s NBA game at 8 pm came in at #30 then AEW Dynamite at #33.
In the 50 + demo AEW was 0.28, which was slightly up from last week.

Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.23
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.49
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.19
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.13
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.20
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.40
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.28
