AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 3rd, NXT 34th, December 16th, 2020

Ratings for the Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 3rd overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 806,000 viewers way down from last week’s 995,000 viewers. They finished 2nd overall last week. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. It featured a 12 man tag match and PAC’s return again.

NXT drew 766,000 viewers way up from last week’s 659,000 viewers. It finished 34th overall, last week they finished 37th. The show featured the main event of Toni Storm vs. Rhea Ripley.

The total combined wrestling audience for both shows was down to 1.572 million viewers. It was at 1.654 million total viewers last week.

Based on the ratings, news programming took 9 of the top 15 spots, CNN taking 7 of them. MTV’s Challenge: Double Agent won the night followed by Real Housewives of the OC at #2. The other two spots were CNN programs.

In the 50 + demo AEW was 0.30, which was slightly up from last week.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.32/ NXT: 0.19
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.22
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.43
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.15
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.12
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.11
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.38
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.30
