AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 2nd, NXT 37th, December 9th, 2020

Ratings for the Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 2nd overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 995,000 viewers way up from last week’s 913,000 viewers. They finished 2nd overall last week as well. Dynamite was taped this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. It featured Sting speaking with Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega talks about what happened last week.

NXT drew 659,000 viewers slighly up from last week’s 658,000 viewers. It finished 37th overall, last week they also finished 40th. The show featured the fallout from WarGames and hear from the NXT Champion Finn Balor(Main Event Roster).

The total combined wrestling audience for both shows was way up to 1.654 million viewers. It was at 1.571 million total viewers last week.

Based on the ratings, news programming took 7 of the top 15 spots, CNN taking 4 of them just like last week. MTV’s Challenge: Double Agent won the night with Real Housewives of the OC at #3. The other two spots were CNN programs.

In the 50 + demo AEW was 0.29, which was up from last week.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.45/ NXT: 0.17
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.34
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.57
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.29
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.22
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.25
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.49
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.29
