AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 7th, Drew Over 1 Million Viewers

Ratings for the Wednesday, September 9, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite were released Thursday. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 7th overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 1,016,000 viewers up from last week’s 928,000 viewers. This is AEW’s highest rating since October of 2019. They finished 8th overall last week. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. This show was the first after the AEW All Out PPV that also included the debut of Miro(Rusev) and an update on Matt Hardy.

On Tuesday, with no competition from AEW, NXT drew 838,000 viewers slightly down from last week’s 849,000 viewers. It finished 15th overall, down from 10th a week earlier. We still have another week or two before these two shows go head to head again with the NBA and NHL playoffs still ongoing.

Based on the ratings, the NBA playoffs dominated the top two spots. Only five news shows finished in the top 15. Sports, news, and Real Housewives made up the top 5.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.37/ NXT: 0.22
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.24
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.51
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.22
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.15
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.24
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.43
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.40
