As previously reported, GCW recently held a live event with an actual crowd in attendance, with huge concerns that majority of the talents as well as the fans will get infected with COVID-19 as the venue where the show took place has a huge number of fans in attendance as well as talents in the locker rooms.
AEW Star Joey Janela took to Twitter following the show and issued a statement on a number of those who tested positive for COVID-19, but did mention that the wrestlers and referees have been tested based on the company guidelines and he will make sure everyone has tested negative before wrestling on a GCW show.
Top Independent Star Tony Deppen would take to social media following the show as well and announce that he tested positive for COVID-19 after appearing on GCW’s The Collective Joey Janela’s Spring Break 4 and EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch Events.
Stars such as Cabana Man Dan, AC Mack, and Dan The Dad also worked at The Collective and have since announced their positive COVID-19 test results.
Janela would take to Twitter once again and note that 85% of the wrestlers who worked that weekend have gotten their test results back and are doing okay.

I’ve been by myself for the last week, so half through, before I get another one.— Tony Deppen (@Tony_Deppen) October 18, 2020
I’m not bummed about much over it, other than I actually felt like death. However, I feel like shit on a personal level, because this is forcing my wife and I to cancel our baby shower.
And out of everything; that is the hardest thing for me to accept.— Tony Deppen (@Tony_Deppen) October 18, 2020
If you’re not get tested, or lying about your results you can kindly fall off a bridge.
Also 85% of the wrestlers who wrestled at Collective have gotten their results back and are ok, I’m sure the rest of the ones waiting will receive theirs this morning or afternoon.— “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela (@JANELABABY) October 17, 2020
