Braun Strowman, known to WWE fans as “The Monster Among Men,” has recently vocalized his yearning to rekindle one of the most heated rivalries in WWE history with none other than “The Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns. The two superstars, whose feud elevated Strowman to main event status and gave birth to the iconic line “I’m not finished with you,” last clashed in a high-stakes encounter for the Universal Championship on SmackDown in 2020.
In a candid interview with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Strowman made it clear that his saga with Reigns is far from over. “Never. I’m never finished with Roman Reigns,” he declared firmly, reminiscing over their intense rivalry. “He is my arch nemesis and my greatest rivalry of my career, and hopefully, one of these days, I’ll get back in there and get these hands on The Tribal Chief.”
The rivalry, which hit its peak during 2017 and 2018 on WWE’s Raw brand, saw Strowman and Reigns locking horns in a string of unforgettable bouts, often sharing the stage with other formidable competitors like Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe, all vying for the Universal Championship.
Despite being released by WWE in 2021, shortly after setting his sights on the WWE Championship, Strowman’s unexpected return under the new vision of Paul Levesque (Triple H) in 2022 reignited interest from fans. Prior to a neck injury that benched the powerhouse in May, he teamed up with Ricochet, turning their alliance into a popular attraction. The duo made waves as they playfully embraced Strowman’s previous disparaging remarks about “flippy wrestlers.”
The pairing found success in their last outing, defeating Chad Gable and Otis in tag team action. Although they were drafted to Raw together, Strowman’s injury has put any further collaboration on hold. However, fans can look forward to his return as he has been medically cleared and hinted at stepping back into the ring in 2024.
The prospect of Strowman’s return has certainly raised speculation among the WWE Universe, igniting hopes of witnessing another epic showdown between him and Reigns. Given their storied history and the intensely competitive nature of their previous encounters, a revival of their rivalry could very well be on the horizon, setting the stage for another memorable chapter in WWE’s ever-evolving narrative.
