Brock Lesnar’s Rise to WWE Stardom: a Look at His Unbreakable Bond with Paul Heyman

In 2002, when Brock Lesnar first emerged in the wrestling world, he was guided towards success by one individual on WWE television: Paul Heyman. Heyman played the role of advocate for Lesnar during his ascent to WWE stardom, witnessing The Next Big Thing’s first WWE Championship victory over The Rock at SummerSlam in 2002.

When Lesnar made his WWE comeback in 2012, it didn’t take long for Heyman to rejoin him. Once again, Heyman was present at a historic event, as The Conqueror put an end to The Undertaker’s Streak at WrestleMania 30.

In an interview with Daniel Cormier for ESPN, Lesnar spoke highly of Heyman, his former advocate, and emphasized his immense impact on the wrestling industry:

“Reflecting on it, the journey has been truly incredible. I entered this industry with Paul Heyman as my spokesperson, and 23 years later, I’m now speaking for myself. It’s amazing how things have developed over time. The wrestling business wouldn’t be where it is today without Paul Heyman, especially in the last year. Paul, working behind the scenes, takes on numerous responsibilities for the company. He is held in high regard and deeply appreciated.”

Nowadays, Paul Heyman has transitioned from an advocate to more of a sage figure. Nevertheless, his role in WWE remains significant. As the advisor to his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, Heyman has escorted championship title belts out of three consecutive WrestleManias.
