Roman Reigns Not Advertised For An Upcoming WWE PLE

Reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is considered by many as one of the greatest, if not the greatest WWE Superstar in the modern era, possibly even of all time. Reigns became the WWE Universal Champion at the WWE Payback Event in August 2020 and has held on to the title since. Reigns would then go on to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and hold on to both championships at last year’s WrestleMania 38, when he defeated then-WWE Champion “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar in what was dubbed as “The Greatest WrestleMania Match Of All Time.”

Roman has held the Undisputed WWE Universal Title for over 1,202 days, which is something that hasn’t been done since 1988 and a title reign that is recognized as the fifth-longest reign in the company’s history. Reigns’ title reign has lasted longer than WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s 16 World Title reigns for a combined 1004 days.

Roman has been working a much more reduced schedule since signing a new WWE contract back in 2022 and it looks like The Tribal Chief will be missing another major WWE Premium Live Event after not working the Payback, Fastlane and Survivor Series: WarGames shows. The Tribal Chief is not advertised to make an appearance at the 2024 WWE Backlash: France Event on Saturday, May 4 from inside the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines, France. Reigns is also not advertised to appear at the 2024 WWE Bash In Berlin Event on Saturday, August 31 from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Reigns could still be added later on, but he is set to make his return to WWE TV on tonight’s episode of SmackDown to perhaps build to his match at the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Event on Saturday, January 27 from Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida. Roman Reigns last competed for WWE at their Crown Jewel Event last month, where he defeated LA Knight to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
