Roman Reigns Provides An Update On His Pro Wrestling Future

Reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is considered by many as one of the greatest, if not the greatest WWE Superstar in the modern era, possibly even of all time. Reigns became the WWE Universal Champion at the WWE Payback Event in August 2020 and has held on to the title since. Reigns would then go on to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and hold on to both championships at this past April’s WrestleMania 38, when he defeated then WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in what was dubbed as “The Greatest WrestleMania Match Of All Time.”

The Tribal Chief has held the WWE Universal Title for over 800 days, which is a huge milestone Reigns has recently added to his already impressive and monumental championship run as well as his wrestling career and once he decides to retire from the pro wrestling business, he will surely become a Hall of Famer, but for now he’s still active in in-ring competition, though The Tribal Chief has been working a limited schedule just like WWE legend John Cena, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns had a conversation with The Ringer on his professional wrestling career and how he is in the middle of it as well as how he is in the second half of his WWE run.

This is what Roman Reigns said:

“I’m right in the middle of it.” “People want these interviews, they want to do these documentaries. But this is the bottom of the third inning to me. We’re in the second quarter of the Super Bowl right now.”

Reigns also discussed how they have been holding shows for the fans despite the toughest times in the pro wrestling business like the pandemic and how they have done it with no hesitation and in about 20 years the fans will respect them even more as well as how it’s been one hell of a journey, but it has only begun and it is only going to get bigger.

This is what Roman Reigns said:

“We’ve done this in turbulent times, through a pandemic, through the biggest change of all time in this business.” “And we’ve done it seamlessly. We’ve done it without falter. Down the road, 20 years from now when we start giving out all these crazy details of the inside, inside, there’s just going to be even deeper respect for the performances that we’ve been putting on. Man, it’s been a hell of a journey, but it’s only begun. It’s going to get bigger.”

The Head Of The Table then discussed his life after pro wrestling and how he envisions himself trying to dabble in a Hollywood career.

This is what Roman Reigns said:

“That’s something I want to dabble in and gain more experience. I want to use these tools that I’ve learned.” “[Wrestling] is a young man’s game. You can’t fall down your whole life. You have to get to a point where you can transition and continue to connect and create new fresh and evolved content for your fanbase and supporters. I think I have the ability to do that. I have a pretty good track record with being thrown into the deep end. If that’s what happens in Hollywood, I’m going to swim.”

Roman Reigns last defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Logan Paul at WWE’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with The Head Of The Table walking out of the match still the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The Head Of The Table is set to compete at this Saturday’s WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event when he teams with the rest of The Bloodline to face The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens in a Men’s WarGames Match.
