Roman Reigns Reaches A Huge Milestone As Undisputed Champion

Reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is considered by many as one of the greatest, if not the greatest WWE Superstar in the modern era, possibly even of all time. Reigns became the WWE Universal Champion at the WWE Payback Event in August 2020 and has held on to the title since. Reigns would then go on to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and hold on to both championships at last year’s WrestleMania 38, when he defeated then-WWE Champion “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar in what was dubbed as “The Greatest WrestleMania Match Of All Time.”

Throughout his reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has successfully defended his championship against the likes of Daniel Bryan, Edge, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Cesaro, Finn Balor, John Cena, Goldberg, Sami Zayn, Matt Riddle, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar and LA Knight.

According to Wrestle Ops, Roman has now held his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship for over 1,200 days, which is something that hasn’t been done since 1988 and a title reign that is recognized as the fifth-longest reign in the company’s history. The Tribal Chief’s championship reign has lasted longer than WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as well as WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s 16 World Title reigns for a combined 1004 days.
