The Main Event Of WWE’s Elimination Chamber Has Been Set

WWE held their 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event last Saturday night from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, with the show featuring 5 massive matches and the Undisputed WWE Universal Matchup as the main event. The match saw current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion “The Head Of The Table” Roman Reigns successfully defend his championship against Kevin Owens. Immediately following the match, The Tribal Chief and the rest of The Bloodline continued their brutal attack on Owens, with the exception of Sami Zayn.

Zayn then stopped Reigns from hitting Owens with a steel chair by stepping in between The Head Of The Table and Owens, but Reigns instead told Sami he should finish the job and hit his former best friend with the steel chair. Sami Zayn refused to do so and instead hit the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion with the chair, only to be beaten down by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, while Jey Uso would just walk out of The Bloodline and head to the back.

WrestlingNews.co reported this past November that aside from the Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens Matchup at the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Event, WWE also has plans of doing a Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn Match at later this month’s WWE Elimination Chamber Event for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent Wrestling Observer Daily Update that Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is now confirmed as the main event of the February 18 WWE Elimination Chamber Event in Montreal, hometown of Sami Zayn.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is now as confirmed as it can be for the 2/18 Elimination Chamber show main event in Montreal.”
