The Rock Has Advice For His Former Nemesis Stone Cold Steve Austin

WWE WrestleMania 39 might have one of the most star-studded card lineups in history. While no bouts have been confirmed as of yet, rumours have surfaced that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is “100% the idea” as long as the latter’s schedule permits it.

Aside from the probable clash of generations main event, multi-time world champion John Cena is also rumoured to be wrestling at the Showcase of the Immortals, which would be his first proper WrestleMania match in over five years.

As if that wasn’t enough, recent social media tweets by WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin have fueled speculation that the Texas Rattlesnake is planning another in-ring return. Despite Austin’s protests, WWE is reportedly eager in bringing him back for another match.

While the specifics of the tournament and opponent are undisclosed, Austin is rumoured to have a match offer on the table. Austin’s rumoured in-ring opponents have varied from John Cena to CM Punk. For nearly a decade, Punk vs. Austin has been a fantasy match, but the Second City Saint’s odd AEW standing makes that battle improbable.

In an Instagram video, Austin addressed the accusations front on, emphasizing that he is merely exercising to get back in shape. He posted in the video the reason why he wants to be in the gym or is doing the exercises.

People have been speculating. ‘Hey Steve, what are you doing? What are you training for? You training for an event?’ You can speculate what you want, [but] I just looked in the mirror and realized that I looked like s–t, so I called my diet coach up. As far as bodyweight goes, probably sub 232 [lbs] the leanest I’ve been in forever. Anyway, that’s the bottom line. I looked in the mirror and I looked like s–t. Got tired of looking like s–t, so I’m taking action to do something about it.

The Rock took it to the comments section where he talked about how The Texas Rattlesnake has shared his information in a concrete manner. The information was on point, and it never looked as if they had a feud in their life.

Maaaan for everyone watching this, let me just say that how Steve is talking here, is exactly how talks in person and why we became brothers. Straight up, direct, no bulls–t. Good or bad. You’ll always get the real. Keep kicking ass my brother. And you know I gotta say it, ‘thank you for the house.
