AEW Secures Rights To A Classic Song For Orange Cassidy

A massive announcement was recently made by AEW President and CEO Tony Khan that during next Monday’s episode of Dark: Elevation Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor will take on Ryan Nemeth and JD Drake in a Tag Team Match, which was taped prior to this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite. The AEW CEO also revealed that Orange Cassidy will be getting a “dope” new theme song.

This is what Tony Khan said:

“For the fans attending tonight’s LIVE #AEWDynamite here in Jacksonville at @dailysplace, we’ll tape one of the top matches for next week’s #AEWDark: Elevation, Chuckie T/@orangecassidy v. Nemeth/Drake! Also 1st time anyone’s heard the new Orange Cassidy theme; I promise it’s dope.”

One fan then took to Twitter and asked AEW President and CEO Tony Khan if Cassidy’s new theme song in AEW will be Jefferson Starship’s “Jane,” which was Orange Cassidy’s theme song on the indies prior to signing with AEW. Khan said it’s not Jane as he tried to get it for a year and a half, but they never even answered his emails.

This is what Tony Khan said:

“It’s not Jane. I’d tried to get it for a year & a half, they never even answered my emails, so I decided to take a huge swing, & it came through. It’s a new theme. The fans attending #AEWDynamite tonight in Jacksonville will be the first to ever hear it before we go Live on TNT!”

Speaking of Orange Cassidy’s new entrance theme music in AEW, Jacob Cohen took to his Twitter account and revealed that Cassidy will now enter to the song “Where Is My Mind?” by The Pixies. Orange’s last entrance theme music in AEW was called “Juicy” and it was a song reportedly developed and produced by the company. Cassidy will be debuting his new entrance theme music on Monday’s AEW Dark: Elevation.

This will reportedly be the first time AEW has used licensed music for one of their star’s entrances. In related news, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan reportedly also bought the rights to “Tarzan Boy” by Baltimora for Jungle Boy and Tom Waits’ “Ol’ ‘55” for Brodie Lee’s Tribute video.
