AEW Women’s Title Tournament Match To Air On Bleacher Report

All Elite Wrestling President and CEO Tony Khan recently took to his Twitter and made an announcement that the Quarterfinal Match in the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament between Thunder Rosa and Riho will air for free on Bleacher Report next Sunday, February 28th.

According to a recent report on F4WOnline.com, this is being done to further push and promote the AEW Revolution PPV set to take place on March 7th as the show will air on BR Live as well and this is the first PPV for the company to take place on a Sunday. The promotion previously aired their awards show on the BR Live app, but that is something that is only available in the U.S. while Bleacher Report is available worldwide.

The report also states that there will be either two or three matches on the special show. Aside from the Thunder Rosa vs. Riho Match, the finals of the Japanese side of the Women’s Title Tournament will also be included in the show. Speaking of the Japanese side of the Women’s Title Tournament, Aja Kong is set to face Ryo Mizunami and Yuka Sakazaki is set to face Emi Sakura in Second Round action, which will air on Monday, February 22nd at 7PM ET on AEW’s YouTube channel.

On the United States side of the bracket, Tay Conti is set to battle Nyla Rose and Dr. Britt Baker is set to battle Anna Jay in First Round Matches, which will air this Wednesday on Dynamite.

The winner of the Japanese side of the bracket will travel to the U.S. to face the winner of the U.S. side of the bracket, which we will see on the March 3rd episode of Dynamite. The Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament winner will then move on to take on AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida for her AEW Women’s World Championship at the Revolution PPV.
