AEW’s May Taping Schedule, Lead Up To Double Or Nothing PPV

Last week, we learned that AEW will resume live tapings on May 6th from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The plan is to produce a combination of live and taped content going forward.

All Elite Wrestling was able to return to Daily’s Place after Governor DeSantis added “professional sports and media production” to the list of essential services .

Dave Meltzer gave an update on AEW’s taping schedule in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The May 6th episode of AEW Dynamite will be broadcast live. The May 13th episode will be taped, likely on May 7th.

The May 20th and 27th editions of AEW Dynamite on TNT will also be live, as well as Double Or Nothing on May 23rd. These will be done in front of no fans.

Meltzer reports that AEW will have approximately 60 percent of its roster available for the upcoming shows. International wrestlers like PAC, Riho, The Lucha Brothers, and Bea Priestley will not be able to attend due to travel restrictions.

Many wrestlers in the United States are expected to be available for the shows, with stars from heavily hit areas like New York having already gone into quarantine for 14 days. The plan is for those stars to stay in Jacksonville for the month of May.

No word on what the plan will be for the Summer.
