Last night’s AEW Dynamite episode saw an advertisement air for “Rhodes to the Top,” which is a brand-new reality TV series featuring AEW Executive Vice President “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes.
The ad divulged into the personal lives of Cody Rhodes and his wife, Brandi Rhodes, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of AEW President Tony Khan talking about as well as producing the show and behind-the-scenes footage of AEW itself.
AEW mentioned in a press release that the reality TV series will contain 30-minute episodes that will take viewers “inside the lives of Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes as they navigate their growing family while building AEW’s global wrestling empire.”
Several executives from the TNT Network even gave their stamp of approval for Cody and Brandi Rhodes’ brand-new reality TV series. Sam Linsky, Co-Head of Scripted for TBS, TNT and truTV, said that he has witnessed firsthand the passion and dedication that All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes and AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes put into every facet of their life and know how much that plays an instrumental role in the success and expansion of AEW.
Corie Henson, EVP, Head of Unscripted for TBS, TNT and truTV then said that AEW fans know Cody Rhodes and Brandi inside the ring, and “Rhodes to the Top” will peel back the curtain of their lives off the mat.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan also gave his thoughts on the brand-new reality TV series and said he is thrilled to expand AEW’s relationship with WarnerMedia and TNT, and the “Rhodes To The Top” series will represent a new outlet in which their fans can further connect with characters they already love and new viewers can discover these personalities for the first time. Khan also spoke about a third hour of wrestling programming coming to TNT later this year and that 2021 will be a historic year for AEW and their partnership with WarnerMedia.
This is what Tony Khan said:
