Cody Rhodes Expected To Be Off AEW Television For A While

“The Exalted One” Mr. Brodie Lee became the brand-new TNT Champion this past Saturday on AEW Dynamite by defeating the first-ever TNT Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody. The win was in dominant fashion via pinfall with a couple of powerbombs and a huge discus lariat.

The Dark Order would then viscously and brutally attacked Cody as well as the rest of The Nightmare Family and left “The American Nightmare” Cody in such bad shape that he had to be stretchered out of the ring. AEW then announced via Twitter that they will have an update on Cody Rhodes status during tonight’s episode of Dynamite.

According to PWInsider.com, AEW Executive Vice President Cody is expected to be off of AEW TV for some time to sell the viscous and brutal attack he got at the hands of the Dark Order’s “The Exalted One” Mr. Brodie Lee.

PWInsider also reports that STARZ Wrestling Series “Heels” is going into production in Georgia soon and Stephen Amell has asked Cody Rhodes to be involved with the show.

Aside from selling the attack at the hands of Brodie Lee, Cody being involved with Heels looks to match up the time he will be off AEW TV.

There is no word yet on how much time Rhodes is expected off AEW TV, we will find out how long tonight.
