Excalibur’s Return To AEW Commentary Set For August 26

AEW Commentator Excalibur has been forcibly put on a hiatus and was initially thought to have symptoms of COVID-19 but was reportedly told to stay home and not report to work due to a controversial racism incident that happened during his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla days.

The incident reportedly took place about 17 years ago and involved stars such as Excalibur himself, Kevin Steen (A.K.A. Kevin Owens), Human Tornado and Disco Machine.

According to Dave Meltzer, everyone who was involved said some pretty bad racial slurs, but immediately regretted it and even apologized for them afterward.

Despite the immediate apology and the incident taking place about 17 years ago. Excalibur was still removed from commentary on the July 29th episode of AEW Dynamite as well as the August 5th episode of AEW Dynamite and recent episodes of AEW Dark.

Excalibur was originally expected to make his return to commentary on tomorrow’s episode of Dynamite, but it looks like AEW has decided to push that a couple of weeks more as Dave Meltzer noted that Excalibur will be making his return to commentary on the August 26th episode of Dynamite.

He should have never left. AEW commentary needs someone like Excalibur.
