Former WWE Star Rusev (Miro) Debuts On AEW Dynamite

During AEW Dynamite, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford announced who would be the Best Man at their wedding. During the AEW All Out pay-per-view, Sabian said that this person would be “THE” Best Man.

As the segment began, Sabian asked the best man to walk out. First, a heavyset guy named “Puff” walked out. Then Sabian said he is not the best man. Next, Brian Pillman Jr. walked out, but Sabian noted that he is not the best man. He even told him they are not even friends.

For the last time, Sabian introduced his Best man, and then former WWE star Rusev (Miro) walked out. Miro is now sporting a different look with short blonde hair.

Miro debut is five months after his release from WWE. The former Rusev has now joined All Elite Wrestling. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Miro signed a contract with AEW for more than a year.

Miro then cut a promo, noting his commonality with Kip Sabian with their popular Twitch channels, then lays into the WWE and Vince McMahon.

“Ten years in the same house with the same glass ceiling and an imaginary brass ring. You can take that brass ring and shove it up your ass. My name is Miro! I am Elite!”

It is unknown when the Kip Sabian / Penelope Ford wedding will occur or where this possible angle is headed.

Miro spent six years on WWE’s main roster, where he won the United States title three times. He was often accompanied by real-life wife Lana to the ring. Rusev’s most notable feud was with John Cena that ran through WrestleMania 31.

He later gained a huge following for his daily holiday, “Rusev Day”. Miro was released from his WWE contract as part of the pandemic-related cuts back in April.
