During this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite, a massive main event took place between Darby Allin and John Silver, with Allin’s TNT Title hanging in the balance.
The main event lasted for about 15 minutes before Allin hit Silver with a Canadian Destroyer and secured the pinfall victory. As soon as Dynamite went off the air, pro wrestling legend “The Icon” Sting grabbed the mic and congratulated Darby Allin on his huge victory, while also reiterating the fact that main event matches such as this are one of the reasons why AEW “is the place to be.”
Allin then grabbed the mic and told John Silver that he doesn’t think anybody in AEW knows, but he is pretty sure Silver dislocated his shoulder about halfway through the match. Darby Allin then told his opponent John Silver but g*ddamn, did you put everything into it and he’s down to do it anytime again and he thanked Silver. John Silver reportedly dislocated his shoulder when he went over the barricade and landed awkwardly.
This is what Darby Allin said:
“I don’t think anybody here knows, but I’m pretty sure you dislocated your shoulder about halfway through that match.” “But g*ddamn, did you put everything into it! And I’m down to do it anytime again. Thank you, John. Thank you.”
John Silver then took to Twitter to provide an update on his dislocated shoulder. Silver said despite his shoulder being messed up, the doctor doesn’t think it is too serious, but that he will still keep everyone updated once he knows. John Silver also posted a photo on Twitter of his head as a result of his awkward landing.
