Next Challenger For Darby Allin’s TNT Championship Revealed

This past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite saw a massive main event match take place between TNT Champion Darby Allin and Dark Order’s John Silver, with Allin’s TNT Championship on the line. The TNT Championship Match, which was labeled as one of the most physical matches in recent memory, saw John Silver suffer a dislocated shoulder after he went over the barricade and landed rather awkwardly.

The title match also saw Darby Allin successfully retain his TNT Championship via pinfall after Allin hit Silver with a Canadian Destroyer.

Immediately after the match, top AEW Star Matt Hardy put his hands on Darby Allin by dragging him out of the ring. This would then lead to a hellacious brawl between Dark Order, Sting, Private Party, The Butcher, and The Blade, Tay Conti, and The Bunny.

Dynamite would then come to a close after Darby Allin nailed Matt Hardy with a Tope Suicida and continued his beat-down on “Big Money” Matt.

Due to the exchange that took place on Dynamite, Matt Hardy was believed to be Darby Allin’s next TNT Championship challenger and Dave Meltzer revealed on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that it is in fact happening, but he doesn’t know exactly when the match will take place, but it is definitely happening.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

“That is in fact happening. I don’t know if it’s going to be next week or the week after but it’s happening.”

Darby Allin became the TNT Champion back at the 2020 Full Gear PPV Event when he defeated Cody Rhodes and since then, he has successfully defended his TNT Title against wrestlers such as Brian Cage, Joey Janela, Scorpio Sky and John Silver.
