AEW Dark Results (10/06): Lucha Brothers vs. Kiss/Janela

This week’s episode of AEW Dark opens up with “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, Ricky Starks and Excalibur welcoming the fans to another super-sized edition of the show.

We then get the first match of the evening, which is a Women’s Division Singles Match between Brandi Rhodes vs. Kenzie Paige.

Brandi Rhodes def. Kenzie Paige in a Women’s Division Singles Match. After the match, Anna Jay makes her way down to the ring and takes Brandi Rhodes out. Red Velvet then makes her way down to the ring to save Brandi Rhodes and clears Anna Jay out of the ring.

The next match of the evening is a Tag Team Match between Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) vs. Ray Rosas and Eric Watts.

We then get a video package of Chris Jericho speaking about Luther. Jericho says that he’s known Luther for 30 years and was jealous that Luther was bigger than he was in Japan during the early years. Jericho then says that they went their separate ways after years of knowing each other and Luther was never able to obtain national stardom in the U.S.

The next match of the evening is a Tag Team Match between Chaos Project (Serpentico and Luther) vs. Anthony Bowens and Lee Johnson.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Will Hobbs vs. Ryzin.

Eddie Kingston then cuts a promo on Sonny Kiss and “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela saying that the reason they aren’t ever in the title picture is because they act like clowns and warns them about sleeping on The Lucha Brothers.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between John Silver vs. QT Marshall.

The next match of the evening is a Tag Team Match between Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Cezar Bononi and David Ali.

The next match of the evening is a Women’s Division Singles Match between Big Swole vs. Skyler Moore.

A video package of Matt Sydal then airs where he calls out Michael Nakazawa for putting baby oil on the turnbuckles that caused him to slip on the shooting star press during his debut.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Matt Sydal vs. Michael Nakazawa.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Eddie Kingston vs. M’Badu.

Eddie Kingston def. M’Badu in a Singles Match. After the match, Kingston takes the mic and says that he is going to mess Moxley up. Eddie Kingston then says that Moxley has probably tapped out to the same move he just made M’Badu tap with and says that he will make Moxley scream, “I quit”.

Eddie Kingston then says that Moxley left him behind after promising to take him to the promised land and he will have to pay for that. Kingston then says that he never quit and never tapped out and all he ever wanted to be was the World Champion.


Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela are then shown backstage saying that they have zero fear and that they need the win to bounce back and get back into the rankings.

The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Angelico vs. Shawn Dean.
