PR: Empire State Wrestling returning to MedinaPR: Empire State Wrestling

Pro wrestling event will benefit local fire company 

Empire State Wrestling will return to the Medina High School on Saturday, April 27 with Spring Smash. Proceeds from this event will go toward the East Shelby Vol. Fire Company. This will be ESW’s second time at Medina High School, with last year’s event drawing about 450 fans.
Several area natives are booked for Spring Smash. They will compete alongside many of Empire State Wrestling’s regular stars as well as wrestlers from out of state.Already announced for Spring Smash:

  • Medina’s “A Cut Above The Rest” Gavin Glass versus Edge of Hope’s “The Gashed” Darren Crowe
  • Albion native Kevin Blackwood will face GCW star Yoya
  • Triple Threat Match: Lockport’s Adrianna Fury vs. Buffalo’s Haley Dylan vs. Canadian indie wrestling talent Shilo
  • Medina’s “Filthy” Maxx Cannon versus “His Royal Freshness” Frank Feathers
  • ESW Interstate Champion Spencer Slade will defend the belt against To Infinity & Beyond’s Colin Delaney
  • ESW Tag Team Champions CXR will defend the titles versus Greed (Julio Diamante & Price Purgold)

Spring Smash starts at 6 p.m. Ticket specials are available at ESWTIX.com where service fees apply. Ticket prices rise by $5 at the door.

Pro wrestling legends Kevin Nash, X-Pac, The Hurricane, D-Von Dudley, Al Snow, The Honky Tonk Man, Sgt. Slaughter, Raven, Brutus Beefcake, Demolition, Jim Duggan, Koko B. Ware, Bushwacker Luke, The Sandman and Bob Holly appeared at previous ESW events.

Founded in 2002, ESW is run by Brett Stymus. Over half of ESW’s performers reside in the Western New York area. ESW runs regular shows throughout the year that draw several hundred fans, with some events being attended by up to 1,000 people.
