During last night’s Beach Break special episode of AEW Dynamite, the participants for the AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament was announced. 16 names were announced, with 8 of them coming from Japan and the other 8 coming from the U.S.
The AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament is set to begin this February, with matches set to take place both in the U.S. and in Japan and the winner will be receiving a title shot at AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida.
On the Japan side of things, the names that were announced include Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, Veny, Emi Sakura, Ryo Mizunami, Mei Suruga, Rin Kadokura and Maki Itoh
On the U.S. side of things, names that were announced include NWA Women’s World Champion Serena Deeb, Riho, Dr. Britt Baker, Tay Conti, Thunder Rosa, Nyla Rose, Anna Jay, and Leyla Hirsch.
NWA Women’s World Champion Serena Deeb vs. Riho has already been announced as a first round match.
