Spoiler: Mystery Entrant In Casino Ladder Match Not Former WWE

Rumors have been swirling ever since AEW announced the ninth mystery participant in the Casino ladder match at this Saturdays AEW Double Or Nothing PPV. That match includes Darby Allin, Colt Cabana, Orange Cassidy, Rey Fenix, Frankie Kazarian, Luchasaurus, Kip Sabian and Scorpio Sky.

Fans have speculated on names like Drew Gulak, Rusev, and Sting could be in the mix. However, according to Dave Meltzer, those guys are not available.

“Most of the guys who were cut from WWE’s main roster recently aren’t available right now… they’ve gotta debut, someone, right?”

Dave Meltzer

Clues about who this entrant might be could be found in Cody’s media conference call yesterday when he said 90% of the Double Or Nothing show is what they had planned pre-COVID-19. So who could it be, if this was in the cards for a while?

We reported months ago on former Impact World Champion Brian Cage signing with AEW. After news broke of Cage signing with AEW, his wife went online and said he had not signed with the company. That could have been a smokescreen.

Brain Cage has been taking time off from wrestling to undergo surgery. Could he be ready to go this Saturday? We will find out soon enough.
