Roman Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion. The champion has had a stellar 2-years as the Universal Champion and 6-months as the WWE Champion. His work has been exceptional, and he seems ready with a line of opponents in the WWE.
The Tribal Chief faces Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules on October 8 and then faces Logan Paul at Crown Jewel on November 5. There’s no opponent for The Head of the Table for Survivor Series as of this writing. Could his house show opponent be his opponent for the brand vs brand show?
Roman Reigns headlined a rare house show over the past weekend in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, against WWE Raw star AJ Styles. AJ Styles has not got a title opportunity in a long time and it’s his time to shine.
WWE knows that Roman Reigns’ reign will not be complete if he has any opponent left in the locker room that can step up to the Tribal Chief. In an attempt to do so, they have done this house show match. WWE does such matches only when it wants something to happen down the line.
These matches can happen after the show goes off air or during live events where the audience is less and the possibility of checking a reaction from the WWE Universe is bigger than expected. With this match happening at #WWEVancouver, one can expect Roman Reigns to take on AJ Styles down the line.
