Kris Statlander Undergoes Surgery To Repair Torn ACL

AEW star Kris Statlander underwent surgery to repair her torn ACL yesterday. The procedure looked successful as Statlander posted a picture of her giving the thumbs up on Twitter.

On the June 10 episode of AEW: Dynamite, Statlander teamed with Hikaru Shida to take on Penelope Ford and Nyla Rose. Statlander tore her ACL after hitting a Suicide Dive on Kip Sabian when he tried to interfere in the match.

“Since the news is out. I told you I’d dive on Kip again and dammit I did. But in doing so, I ended up with a high grade tear in my ACL. Yes I need surgery. Yes I’ll be out of the ring for a while. I’ll do my best to still show up on your TVs as much as I can.”

When she is back in the ring remains to be seen, but Statlander is expected to be out for at least eight months.
