This week’s episode of AEW Dark opens up with Brandon Cutler and “The Librarian” Peter Avalon arguing backstage. A stage-hand then comes over and tells them that they are once again teaming up for tonight’s episode of Dark.
The Young Bucks then enter and say that they will be their opponents. Avalon then says that the Young Bucks’ new book is fantastic, which makes Cutler unhappy because it hasn’t even officially been released yet. Matt Jackson then plugs the official release date of the book in November.
Excalibur and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz then officially welcomes the fans to another edition of the show. We then get the first match of the evening, which is a Singles Match between Shawn Spears and Max Caster.
Shawn Spears def. Max Caster in a Singles Match. After the match, Tully Blanchard hands Shawn Spears a metal slug, who then uses it to level Max Caster and leave him unconscious.
The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Lance Archer and Pineapple Pete.
Lance Archer def. Pineapple Pete in a Singles Match. After the match, Lance Archer goes to inflict more pain on Pineapple Pete but “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela runs in with a leaf-blower and Lance Archer flees. Joey Janela then screams, “The Bad Boy never dies!” as Jake Roberts and Lance Archer smile from the entrance ramp.
The next match of the evening is a Singles Match between Ricky Starks and Griff Garrison.
Ricky Starks def. Griff Garrison in a Singles Match. After the match, Starks walks to the commentary table to give Excalibur and Taz a fist-bump.
